After enrolling your qualified EV (Electric Vehicle), National Grid will automatically send a signal to pause charging during peak events, and automatically resume charging afterward.
Peak events may occur between 2-7pm any day of the week from June 1 to September 30.
There are typically 40 peak events every summer – each event lasts 1-3 hours.
You can opt out of a peak event at any time.
*Customers who have already received the $50 enrollment incentive will not receive another $50 for completing their enrollment.
